Ingredients
½ cup red lentils (masoor dal)
1 cup carrots (chopped)
1 tsp oil
1 tsp garlic (minced)
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
½ cup coconut milk
1½ cups water
Fresh coriander (for garnish)
Directions
- Cook Lentils: In a pot, add lentils, carrots, water, turmeric, and salt. Cook until soft.
- Prepare Base: Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic.
- Combine: Add cooked lentil mixture to the pan.
- Add Coconut Milk: Stir in coconut milk and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve: Garnish with coriander and serve warm.
