A fusion-style celebration dish where layers of creamy paneer tikka masala meet cheesy lasagna sheets—perfect for year-end parties and special family dinners.

Ingredients

  • For Paneer Tikka Masala Layer
  • 300 g paneer (cubed)

  • 2 tbsp oil or butter

  • 1 onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 2 tomatoes (pureed)

  • ½ cup fresh cream

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • Salt to taste

  • For Lasagna
  • 9–12 lasagna sheets (boiled as per instructions)

  • 1½ cups white sauce (béchamel)

  • 1½ cups grated mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese

  • Dried oregano & chilli flakes (optional)

Directions

  • Prepare Paneer Masala: Heat oil/butter in a pan. Sauté onions until golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till aromatic.
  • Add Tomato Base: Add tomato puree, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook until oil separates.
  • Add Paneer & Cream: Add paneer cubes and cream. Simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Assemble Lasagna: Spread a layer of white sauce in a baking dish. Add lasagna sheets → paneer masala → cheese. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
  • Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly.
  • Rest & Serve: Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • Celebration Serving Ideas:
    1. Serve with garlic bread and fresh salad
    2. Great centerpiece dish for New Year’s Eve dinner
    3. Can be prepared ahead and baked before guests arrive
