Ingredients
500g boneless fish cubes (seer fish / basa / tilapia)
½ cup thick hung curd
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp red chili powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp garam masala
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp mustard oil or regular oil
Salt to taste
1 capsicum (cubed)
1 onion (cubed)
Skewers (optional)
Directions
- In a bowl, mix curd, ginger-garlic paste, all spice powders, lemon juice, oil, and salt.
- Add fish cubes, capsicum, and onion. Gently coat everything well.
- Marinate for at least 20 minutes (up to 2 hours for best flavor).
- Heat a grill pan or regular pan with a little oil.
- Place fish and veggies and cook on medium flame, turning sides gently.
- Cook until fish is golden and fully cooked (about 6–7 minutes per side).
- For smoky flavor, briefly torch or place over open flame (optional).
- Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
