Ingredients
- For Outer Cover
1½ cups all-purpose flour
Salt to taste
Water (as needed for kneading)
- For Veg Filling
1 cup cabbage (finely chopped)
½ cup carrot (finely chopped)
¼ cup capsicum (finely chopped)
2 spring onions (finely chopped)
1 tsp garlic (minced)
1 tsp ginger (minced)
1 tsp soy sauce
½ tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
Directions
- Prepare Dough: Mix flour and salt. Add water gradually and knead into a smooth, firm dough. Cover and rest for 15 minutes.
- Prepare Filling: Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic and ginger; sauté briefly. Add all vegetables and stir-fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes. Add soy sauce, pepper, and salt. Mix well. Cool completely.
- Shape Momos: Divide dough into small balls. Roll into thin circles. Place filling in the center and pleat the edges to seal.
- Steam: Grease a steamer plate lightly. Arrange momos with space between them. Steam for 12–15 minutes until outer cover looks glossy.
- Serve Hot: Serve with spicy red chili chutney or garlic sauce.
