Ingredients
12 large button mushrooms
¾ cup cream cheese (softened)
½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp parmesan cheese (optional)
2 tbsp onion (very finely chopped)
1 tsp garlic (minced)
½ tsp black pepper powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp mixed herbs or oregano
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Directions
- Prepare Mushrooms: Clean mushrooms and carefully remove stems. Finely chop the stems and keep aside.
- Make Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, chopped stems, onion, garlic, pepper, salt, and herbs.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Stuff Mushrooms: Lightly brush mushroom caps with olive oil. Spoon filling generously into each cap.
- Bake: Arrange mushrooms on a baking tray and bake for 18–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
- Garnish: Sprinkle chopped parsley on top.
- Serve Hot: Serve immediately as a party starter or festive side.
