kcalA rich and smoky paneer curry made with grilled cottage cheese cubes simmered in a creamy tomato-based gravy.
Ingredients
- For Paneer Tikka:
250g paneer (cubed)
½ cup thick curd
1 tsp chili powder
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
- For Gravy:
2 onions (chopped)
3 tomatoes (pureed)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tbsp butter
½ cup fresh cream
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
Directions
- Marinate paneer with curd, spices, lemon juice, oil, and salt for 15 minutes.
- Grill or shallow-fry paneer until golden. Keep aside.
- Heat butter in a pan, sauté onions till soft.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till fragrant.
- Add tomato puree, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt.
- Cook till oil separates.
- Add cream and grilled paneer.
- Simmer for 5 minutes and serve hot with naan or roti.
