Ingredients
2 cups besan (gram flour)
2 cups sugar
2 ½ cups water
Orange food colour (optional)
4 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
Chopped pistachios for garnish
Directions
- Make a thin besan batter with water and food colour.
- Heat the ghee in a pan and pour the batter through a perforated ladle to form tiny boondis.
- Fry lightly, drain excess ghee.
- Make a sugar syrup (1-string consistency) and add cardamom.
- Mix boondis into syrup, rest 5 mins, then shape into ladoos.
Notes
- Serving: Garnish with pistachios, serve during festivals like Diwali.
