Crispy spiced pooris served with a tangy and flavourful potato curry – a classic festive breakfast combo.

Ingredients

  • For Poori:
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 2 tbsp semolina (optional for crispiness)

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)

  • Salt to taste, oil to fry

  • For Aloo Sabzi:
  • 4 boiled potatoes (cubed)

  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)

  • 2 green chillies

  • 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chilli powder

  • Fresh coriander

Directions

  • Knead poori dough with flour, semolina, turmeric, ajwain, salt, and water. Rest 20 mins.
  • Roll into discs and deep fry until puffed.
  • For sabzi, sauté cumin, chillies, and tomatoes. Add spices and potatoes. Cook until soft.

Notes

  • Serving: Hot pooris with spicy potato curry – classic festive brunch.
