A light South Indian–style stir-fry made with tender bottle gourd, garlic, and a splash of lemon—easy to digest and perfect for detox meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bottle gourd (lauki, chopped)

  • 1 tsp olive oil or ghee

  • 2 cloves garlic (sliced)

  • ½ tsp cumin seeds

  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

  • Salt to taste

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Fresh coriander (for garnish)

Directions

  • Heat Oil: Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and garlic; sauté lightly.
  • Add Lauki: Add chopped bottle gourd and turmeric. Mix well.
  • Cover & Cook: Cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes until soft.
  • Season: Add salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Toss gently.
  • Serve: Garnish with coriander and serve warm.
