Ingredients
1 cup dried chickpeas (or 2 cups canned)
2 onions (finely chopped)
2 tomatoes (pureed)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies (slit)
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp chole masala
1/2 tsp turmeric
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander for garnish
Directions
- Soak chickpeas overnight. Pressure cook until soft.
- Heat oil. Sauté cumin and onions till golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and chillies.
- Add tomato puree and spices. Cook till oil separates.
- Add chickpeas and 1 cup water. Simmer 15 mins.
- Garnish with coriander. Serve hot.
