Ingredients

  • ½ cup red lentils (masoor dal)

  • 1 cup carrots (chopped)

  • 1 tsp oil

  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • ½ tsp cumin powder

  • Salt to taste

  • ½ cup coconut milk

  • 1½ cups water

  • Fresh coriander (for garnish)

Directions

  • Cook Lentils: In a pot, add lentils, carrots, water, turmeric, and salt. Cook until soft.
  • Prepare Base: Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic.
  • Combine: Add cooked lentil mixture to the pan.
