Ingredients
- For Aloo Tikki
3 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)
2 tbsp corn flour or bread crumbs
1 green chilli, finely chopped
½ tsp red chili powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
2–3 tbsp oil for shallow frying
- For Chaat Toppings
½ cup thick curd (whisked)
2 tbsp green chutney (mint-coriander)
2 tbsp tamarind sweet chutney
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp chopped coriander
½ tsp chaat masala
½ tsp roasted cumin powder
Sev for garnish
Directions
- Prepare the Tikki Dough: In a bowl, combine mashed potatoes, corn flour, green chili, chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and shape into flat patties.
- Shallow Fry the Patties: Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry tikkis on medium flame until both sides turn golden and crispy. Set aside.
- Assemble the Chaat: Place two hot tikkis on a plate. Add a few spoons of whisked curd over them. Drizzle green chutney and tamarind chutney.
- Add Crunch & Spices: Sprinkle chopped onions, coriander, chaat masala, and roasted cumin powder.
- Finish with Sev: Add generous sev on top and serve immediately.
