Ingredients
1 cup black sesame seeds (ellu)
¾ cup jaggery (powdered)
2 tbsp water
¼ tsp cardamom powder
1 tsp ghee (for greasing hands)
Directions
- Roast Sesame Seeds: Dry roast sesame seeds on low flame until they crackle and release aroma. Cool slightly.
- Grind: Grind the roasted sesame seeds coarsely (do not make a fine powder).
- Prepare Jaggery Syrup: Heat jaggery with water until it melts and reaches a soft ball consistency.
- Combine: Add ground sesame seeds and cardamom powder to the jaggery syrup. Mix well.
- Shape Ladoos: While the mixture is warm, grease hands with ghee and shape into round ladoos.
- Cool & Serve: Allow to cool completely before serving.
