Ingredients
- For Dough
1½ cups whole wheat flour
Water as needed
Salt to taste
- For Filling
2 medium potatoes (boiled & mashed)
1 tbsp onion (finely chopped, optional)
½ tsp cumin powder
¼ tsp red chilli powder (optional / mild)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander (chopped)
- For Cooking
Ghee or oil as needed
Directions
- Prepare Dough: Mix wheat flour and salt. Add water and knead into a soft dough. Rest for 10 minutes.
- Prepare Filling: In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, onion, cumin powder, chilli powder, salt, and coriander.
- Stuff Paratha: Divide dough into balls. Flatten, add filling, seal, and roll gently.
- Cook: Heat tawa and cook paratha on medium flame. Apply ghee/oil on both sides.
- Flip & Cook: Cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides.
- Serve Hot: Serve with curd, butter, or mild pickle.
