kcalPaneer Butter Masala is a creamy and flavorful North Indian curry made with paneer cubes simmered in a rich tomato-based gravy.
Ingredients
250g paneer, cubed
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
2 medium onions, chopped
3 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies (optional)
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ cup fresh cream
1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander for garnish
Directions
- Heat the oil and 1 tbsp butter in a pan. Add onions and sauté until golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Blend the mixture to a smooth paste and return to the pan.
- Add paneer cubes, garam masala, and kasuri methi. Stir gently.
- Add cream and remaining butter. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
