kcalA creamy and fragrant Indian rice pudding enriched with saffron, cardamom, and dry fruits — served warm or chilled.
Ingredients
- 1 litre full-cream milk 
- ¼ cup basmati rice (washed & soaked for 30 min) 
- ½ cup sugar 
- ¼ cup chopped cashews, almonds, and pistachios 
- 1 tsp cardamom powder 
- A few saffron strands soaked in warm milk 
Directions
- Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pan.
- Add soaked rice and cook on low flame, stirring occasionally, until rice is soft.
- Add sugar and mix well.
- Stir in saffron milk, cardamom powder, and dry fruits.
- Cook for another 10 minutes until thick and creamy.
- Serve warm or chilled.
